The truth about tampons
Growing up I was told I could only use a tampon once I was married. Once I left my homeland, I realized little did I know that was a myth. I was upset for the many pool parties, beach time, and swimming classes I missed out because my mother never taught me. I thought it was just me. However, after reading and studying I realized that only 3% of women in Latin America use tampons—which is insane! Such a big lie we grow up with!
I created a zine talking about some myths Latin girls and, among other societies, I grow up with. I made it for my sister and my Latin girls who are going through that stage of change. It’s OKAY to use tampons.
